Himlahar Harvests Pvt. Ltd. · Jammu & Kashmir
We buy a harvest once, then we wait a year.
Curio Lifestyle was started in 2022 to sell Himalayan food the way it used to be sold — one crop, one season, bought where it grew. Nothing is blended to keep a listing full.
The name is the whole idea. A curio is a collectible — a particular thing you hold on to because there is no other quite like it.
Curio Lifestyle is the flagship brand of Himlahar Harvests Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2022 and based in Jammu & Kashmir. We work with cold-pressed oils, raw honey, nuts, seeds, spices, ghee and tea — the things this part of the Himalaya has always grown well.
Tradition has quietly become a luxury. Food that used to be ordinary — oil pressed cold, honey taken once a year, walnuts sorted by hand — is now the expensive exception, and the everyday version is adulterated. Nutrient-rich meals have been replaced by supplements, and simplicity by stress.
When the walnuts run out in the spring, the page says sold out until October.
So we buy the way the crop grows: once, in the season, at the place it came from. When a year's lot runs out the listing closes until the next harvest. We would rather sell out in March than top up from the open market.
That is the whole business model, and it is the reason every page on this site tells you a village, an altitude and a month rather than a shelf life.
The people, notthe supply chain.
We buy from growers and small collectives across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, at the farm gate rather than through an aggregator. Paying the grower properly is the part of this that keeps the quality where it is.
Purity is a claim anyone can make, so here is the specific version — the six things that actually decide what ends up in the pack.
Every pack says where it came from.
A batch code on the base ties what is inside to one village, one harvest and one laboratory report.
